A few little details
Simple on the surface.
Thoughtful underneath.
Files, images, links and plain text. Copy and paste, or drag supported content into the tray. Clipboard images can be PNG or TIFF. Folders, app packages and attachments that haven’t been saved as files aren’t supported yet.
No. On a notched display, Notch Now sits around the camera cutout. On other displays, you get a tray at the top centre. The current development build is for Apple Silicon Macs running macOS 14 or later; broader compatibility testing is still underway.
It stays on your Mac. Notch Now doesn’t upload your captures, and only reads the clipboard when you explicitly capture or paste. Files are saved as independent copies, so changing or deleting an original won’t remove the captured copy. Opening a saved file opens that copy. Local storage isn’t separately encrypted.
Yes. Press Command–Z to restore the last removed item. Removed items remain recoverable, even after relaunch, until you explicitly empty them from the app’s menu.
Notch Now is in development. We’re refining the everyday experience before making a public release available. The interactive preview above gives you a feel for the idea using sample items.
